To access key features, you must create an account by providing your email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for any activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.


4. Description of the service

Diglot provides an educational platform that helps users learn languages through bilingual (code-switched) reading materials. Some content is:

  • Taken from the public domain
  • Licensed under Creative Commons or similar open licenses
  • Generated by AI (language models)

We aim to provide a progressive, readable experience where exposure to the target language increases as your level improves.


5. Use of the service

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You agree not to:

  • Reproduce, redistribute, or resell content from the platform
  • Reverse-engineer or extract large parts of the data or code
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or accounts
  • Disrupt or interfere with the functionality or security of the Service

6. Plans and payments

The Service offers a freemium model:

  • Free tier: Limited access to stories and features
  • Premium tier: Full access, available by subscription via Stripe

All payments are handled securely by Stripe. No refund is offered by default. You can cancel your subscription at any time.


7. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and features of Diglot are the intellectual property of the operator or its licensors. Reuse without permission is prohibited, except where expressly allowed by public domain or open licenses.


8. Termination

We may suspend or delete your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You attempt to damage the platform or its users
  • Your account remains inactive for an extended period

You may request deletion of your account at any time via the settings page or by emailing us.


9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that learning results will be guaranteed.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of data or profits
  • Use of third-party services (e.g., payment providers)

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. In case of significant changes, we will notify users via email or on the platform.
