Which languages will be supported?
Does this method actually work?
Yes. Diglot is based on the diglot weave method, a research-backed approach where your native and target language are blended into the same text. It also builds on the Input Hypothesis — the idea that we learn best when we read material just slightly above our current level. By weaving languages together, Diglot keeps you in that “sweet spot.”
On top of that, you’re learning from context: new words and grammar appear in meaningful sentences, not isolated drills. Research shows this makes vocabulary stick longer and grammar feel natural. The result: faster learning, better retention, and real reading fluency from day one.
Is there scientific evidence that this method works?
Yes. Studies on the diglot weave show clear benefits: learners gained vocabulary faster, recalled it better over time, and read more fluently than with standard methods (Poor & Serati, 2021; Evans et al., 2020).
Research on code-switching texts confirms similar results: intermediate learners often matched advanced learners on comprehension tests, with higher vocabulary scores, stronger retention, lower anxiety, and greater engagement (Lee & Levine, 2018; Immanuel & Hameed, 2023; Zhu & Vanek, 2017).
If the diglot weave method is effective, why isn’t it already widely used by teachers and learners?
Won’t mixing two languages in one text “pollute” my language skills or cause interference?
Will I just learn words, or full sentences too?
How is Diglot different from other language learning apps?
Most apps = flashcards, drills, and repetition.<br/> Diglot = real reading from day one.
The result: faster progress, less frustration, more motivation.
